3 Ways Marketers Delight Can Immediately Improve Your Business

by Alex Mangini · 24 comments

MD2 + ThesisIn all honesty, Marketers Delight is a beast of a theme.

It has a ton of things that will improve the way your site functions right out of the box. Of course, if you’re after good looks — it has that too.

Really quickly, I want to share with you 3 things about Marketers Delight that will serve as an instant upgrade to your site. You can read more about the theme back at Kolakube, but I really want to bring these 3 things to your attention below:

1. Page Leads Let You Easily Create Enhanced
Landing + Sales Pages

The flagship feature of Marketers Delight 2 is a Page Lead. More specifically: 7 different templates that will allow you to create much more exciting landing pages for your product, service or however you want to use them (yes, they’re very flexible).

To see what these all look like, check out the demo pages below:

  1. Standard Page Lead
  2. Full-Width Page Lead
  3. Columns Page Lead
  4. Dark Table Page Lead
  5. Light Table Page Lead
  6. Orb Page Lead
  7. Ribbon Page Lead

…or read more about them here.

There’s really a lot you can do with Page Leads. They take a lot of the coding and customization out of the equation when you go to create new pages in WordPress.

2. Easy Signup Forms

Building an email list is one of the most crucial parts of your business. In Marketers Delight, you can easily place email signup forms…well, anywhere really.

With built-in widgets, shortcodes, a sexy feature box and predesigned email forms — you have all the tools you need to start building your email list.

Subscribing is Effortless…

Signing up takes about a minute. That’s 30 seconds longer than it
took for me to insert my optin form into this post.

If you take a look into the sidebar over there, you’ll see yet another example of a signup form. And if you scroll up to the top of the page, you’ll see the feature box with an optin area.

That’s it, right? Nope.

Page Leads work great with optin forms. Just slap your code in, and you’re set to start collecting email addresses!

3. Smart Code, Easy-to-use Options…

Sure, there’s a lot Marketers Delight can do. You’d think that something that can do all this would be sloppily coded with options all over the place.

Well, you’d be wrong.

Before I created Marketers Delight 2, I worked with a lot of clients. Some, who had a great idea of WordPress. And most, who have probably only touched WordPress a small handful of times.

I learned that the best way to create any theme is to assume that whoever is going to use it has the most basic knowledge of WordPress. Even if it’s not true.

That’s why I didn’t design a ridiculous options panel, or add thousands of options to the theme. Most of what you see in Marketers Delight works right out of the box, and you really only have to configure options if you want to.

And of course, since Marketers Delight is built on Thesis (probably the best-coded theme out there), I made sure all the code I put into the theme was written as neat, organized and as best as I could. So that way, your page speed isn’t decreased and you don’t have sloppy code.

You may not understand how crucial this is, but clean code is a big deal. And not something you have to worry about with Marketers Delight 2.

That’s Only the Tip of the Iceberg

Marketers Delight really is something great. I couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out, and I can’t wait to see how you put it to use.

If you are as excited for MD2 as me, you can now go ahead and buy it for yourself (it’s only $67).

If you really want to show the theme some love, consider sharing it below (yes, this theme has share buttons built-in. Wow!):

I am buying Thesis because of your theme (skin).

I own all the major landing page style themes for WordPress, but they all have a fundamental issue–well actually they are at polar opposites of the same issue. They either have crappy looking web form options or info-marketer style ones–both of which have a negative impact of conversion when marketing to a “discerning audience.” Your theme is the perfect balance of both worlds.

People who have been designing themes for several years and have significant resources at their disposal haven’t been able to do what you have done. You have a very bright future ahead of you Alex. I am looking forward to seeing (and buying) more of your work.

Wow. I think that’s the biggest praise I’ve received so far. I truly, truly appreciate the comments and am so glad you like the skin.

If there’s anything you need, please don’t hesitate to email me man.

I completely agree.

I first thought of just carefully putting links on the theme to my outside landing pages to other sites, but this theme both gives you and beats other styles of landing pages.

Hands down.

Now I’m making my own on the theme itself. Alex, big thanks once again for your work. This is only the beginning for this theme and possibly any other theme coming in the future.

Are there any options to change color schemes? I know you made it simple on purpose, I just need to figure out if it would work for what I’m doing. It looks great overall!

Alex Mangini February 4, 2012 at 4:18 am

Hey Lisa,

Glad you do like it!

Right now, there is no color switcher, but you can make some color adjustments from within Thesis and some easy CSS changes too. I would like to add an easier color selector in the future, but truth be told – it’s not high on the priority list compared to some other features users have been requesting.

There is an active support forum where I can help you make the necessary color changes however. It’s honestly all just changing a few color codes in the CSS files.

Great theme! Would you be able to for example setup the homepage with the 3 columns feature under the header and then below that the regular blog with the sidebar? If you understand what I’m getting at.

MD2 is really the ultimate Thesis Skin – user-friendly, loaded with eye candy, futuristic features that really convert for every discerning blogger.

Good work Alex! Can’t wait to get it on my new blog.

I think they’re both excellent frameworks and own both which i use on different sites. It just depends on which skin you want to add on top to achieve the look you like.

One thing i can vouch for is that you get amazing support from both Thesis and Kolakube.

If you ever get stuck or want to make changes to your site at anytime in the future, you’re covered. Thesis has a solid history of providing the best support for WordPress themes.

I’ve moved back from Woo themes to Thesis because of Marketers Delight. I just love the skin and the growing community which also feels the same way as i do.

Ok so it’s been a while I was keeping track of this skin and now is the time I buy it. The latest release 2.2 seems great.

I see that Thesis 2.0 is on its way.

Will Marketers Delight work OK with that?
